Prison Ministry

" Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:1-2)

The main objective of our Prison ministry is to provide prisoners with tremendous support to enable them to live for themselves with dignity. We aim at boosting their morale to build up their dignity and integrity which in turn makes them feel wanted by one and all.

“For I was in prison and you visited me” (Mt 25:16)

Prison ministry opens doors of hope in damaged lives , aiming to reinvest dignity. we are convinced that our tradition and faith offer better alternatives that can hold offenders accountable and challenge them to change their lives. We reach out to victims and teach them ways to make healthy choices which help them to love themselves and others. It restores a sense of community, empowering individuals to achieve personal independence. in the light of contemporary inter-faith environment we aim at nurturing relationships among people of different faiths and traditions to make them trust worthy and reliable.

The Prison Ministry consists of specially trained sisters who visit prisons/jails to recognize the problems faced by prisoners and provide them with necessary physical and cognitive care to enable their reformation and rehabilitation.
